GCh. Lorac’s Cap’n Jack Sparrow AMERICA’S JACKBISS & Multiple group placing #3Vizsla*

“All right mateys. Time to take the Pirate’s Oath. Captain Jack, would you do the honors?” “It would be my honor to do the honors, which I will do now. Honorably. Raise your right hands, and I shall reciteth the Oath..th. All who wants to be a Pirate say ‘aye’! Perfect. Congratulations, you’re all pirates. Welcome to my humble crew.” -Captain Jack Sparrow.

It is not often that the opportunity to bring together two long standing Breeders of Merit, along with a professional handler who has achieved a strong presence in the breed ring, combine forces. However, just like his namesake, BISS GCH. Lorac’s Cap’n Jack Sparrow, has seized the moment, and with it brought together breeder/owners Walter & Carol Sommerfelt, Susan Nakamura and professional handler, Patty Crowley, in a team effort to share their commitment and standards of excellence to the Vizsla ring.

Jack proudly continues this combined legacy as he follows in his sire’s remarkable paw prints – BIS, National BISS, BISS GCH. Artisan Grouse Point Pink Panther JH, known to his many admirers, as “Kato,” #1 Vizsla in America 2011, all systems and all breed in 2010. And to top it all, Jack is not only a 6th generation Lorac bred Champion to rank in the Top 5, but currently is #3 Vizsla in the country. From the moment that Jack was born, he has always possessed a “larger than life” presence which simply demanded attention. Complemented by his typical Vizsla “fun loving” temperament, Jack is a “people dog”who has never met a person he didn’t like, especially children. Currently Jack lives with his good friend and handler, Patty Crowley, and true to form, his greatest pleasure has been spending time with her young grandson, Logan.

Jack began his show career at 6 months of age by winning a major that very first weekend. From there he won Best in Sweepstakes and Winners Dog for his 2nd major at the Vizsla Club of Greater Cleveland Specialty from the 6-9 Puppy Class. Traveling south, he went on to win Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes at the Carolina Vizsla Specialty and gained his 3rd major. Just prior to his 1st birthday, Jack completed his championship. His meteoric climb to success continued with five major wins of significance before he had even reached the ripe old age of 18 months old, including completing his Grand Championship. Within this same time period he received a very prestigious Award of Merit at the 2012 Regional Vizsla Club of America National Specialty while competing against 455 Vizslas prior to the Vizsla Club of America National Specialty. Since that time, Jack has gone on to distinguish himself by obtaining his Silver Grand Championship, and a significant Best in Specialty Show, amongst his numerous Best of Breeds and multiple Group placements while competing in the tough competition here in the Northeast, earning him the rank of the #3 Vizsla in the country. Not so bad for a young dog, we think!

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all of the judges who have acknowledged Jack’s outstanding Vizsla quality and correct type. Given his many successes at his young age, we hold high hopes for his future and continued success.
